Red Roof Inn PLUS + Galveston - Beachfront

First thing into the lobby Omi was a bright spot to a long day. He was professional and very friendly. He greeted me with a smile and check-in was a breeze. He asked me my preference for which floor. Also, while assisting me he was able to help a guest having trouble with their wi-fi. Great multi tasking. Upon check out I got the SAME Omi smiling and professional. He is a definite asset to Red Roof Plus. We’ll be back Red Roof Galveston.

It says it's "beachfront", but it's not on the beach and not on the main road of the beach either. I actually thought I was renting a room at the other end of the island. It's close to the beach, but I really wanted to walk out the back to sand. No mini breakfast only purchase options (I think) and morning only coffee, but no lids, so I couldn't take it and go and I was in a hurry. The night clerk was super nice, hence why I'm being nice about it. I'd probably stay there again. The patrons were genuinely good people.

The staff were friendly and helpful. I didn't expect a 5 star resort; especially as affordable as it is. I was looking for a comfortable place to sleep that was safe and relatively cheap. It was clean and it served it's purpose. The size of the room was surprisingly large.

Seawall is a few minutes' walk away, and great local eateries were within a half mile drive. The staff was super nice and knowledgeable about the island. Area is really quiet. The shower was hot and the A/C was cold. You can feel the gulf breeze and even feel it's spray at times. Being able to bring our dog, the room opening to the parking lot made it easier on her as opposed to walking through a hotel and using elevators. They have an elevator, but we stayed on the 1st floor. Did I mention, the beach was right around the corner!

The room was very clean, it was a nice room.
